REALLY cold and windy today. First day of April tomorrow. This should be the last really cold spell this year. The pier still looks great though. RESERVED

Towards Beachy Head

This is the road from Beachy Head where it links with the A259, looking back towards the sea.

Nightime downland

This is a field near Firle Beacon. Nearly dark but you can still see the lines of the hedges. The two light spots are farm buildings.

Eastbourne pier at dusk

The evenings are getting longer and the clocks go forward on Sunday morning giving us even more light in the evenings. Looking west at the pier from the lower promenade.

Quite rough today. Warmer and with occasional bursts of sunlight. Looking out from the beach near The Grand.

Firle Beacon 3

View from De La Warr

This is looking out from the main exhibition space on the ground floor through a gauze curtain. I always find these domed pavilions a little out of place. The original plans for De La Warr showed a completely different approach with a covered walkway to a circular pool - all in the style of the main building.

This must be one of the most popular views in Sussex. Always strangely peaceful here.RESERVED

Another sheep

These sheep I spied recently in Friston were the least meek sheep I have ever encountered. They were actually quite confrontational.

Can anyone identify where this is? It's within 10 miles of Eastbourne.
